let's get to meteorologist brittany bell from station wabc, and brittany, these two storms expected to bring major impacts. >> reporter: that's right, we're going to see heavy rainfall, also up to a foot of snow across portions of the northeast, so let's get right to the timing. tonight that snow continues to fall stretching in kansas city all the way to chicago. meanwhile across the deep south, we'll see soaking rainfall from jackson, mississippi, all the way to atlanta. so by tomorrow morning, all of that rain, that's going to push across the southeast and the carolinas. meanwhile, snow will continue to fall across the ohio valley, so sunday night, both of these systems will merge, bringing soaking rainfall all along the i-95 corridor. that could be quite a mess. across the interior northeast, they are going see a lot of heavy snowfall. so by monday morning, most of these showers move away from the coast, but that snow will continue to fall across the northeast. things dry out monday afternoon, but by wednesday we're bracing for that next storm that can bring more rainfall and also s
