we're live in fort wadsworth staten island this morning. the starting line of that tcs marathon. 50,000 people will gather. >> amazing. a quick look at the weather. is there? i can see both of you at the start and finish line at a future marathon. i really can't. it is possible for anyone. each runner has their own story. your story. it is really ideal out here. if you do run a marathon sunday -- i hope it is like this. temperatures in the 50s. easy to take. right through the race -- we are not staring down any storms. wind. temperatures very mild. maybe a sprinkle or two. but these will not be heavy downpours. city. let me show you what is happening right now. fifty-six in central park. we do have clouds over head. for the most part, it looks those will break midday. this afternoon, more sunshine. we have low to mid-50s around the boroughs. citi field at 55 degrees. mid-40s through northwest new jersey. really from the hudson valley all the way up state, temperatures in the 50s. a really mild night last night. the showers coming in, from s

we're at fort wadsworth. and there are already runners getting here and getting ready for the 26.2-mile adventure through new york city and the weather is going to be descent. and i don't want to say it's going to be perfect because it's not but it's going to be descent and in fort wadsworth, we're in the upper 40s, the city and central park, 55 degrees and 43 for monticello. as you look at the picture, this is why i say the forecast is not perfect and right now, we have showers making their approach and they will continue to push through until roughly noon. we do not expect heavy rain with these showers, most of the light variety and there could be a couple of showers bringing a brief amount of moderate rainfall. and something to keep in mind. by the afternoon, we break the clouds up and see a bit of sunshine -- sunshine. this is the breakdown of the new york city marathon forecast. 9:00 a.m., 57 degrees and it's cloudy and we'll deal with a few showers. by noon, 61 and still mainly cloudy and mainly a coupl
