wah wah wah. that is kind of what we have been hearing for a heck of a long time. here in our city, we're not just talking about it. we're actually doing something about it. as superintendent, it is exciting, because it fits into our strategic plan. imagine san francisco with the highest performing large urban district in the state of california. our test scores and the last 11 years have done wonderful things. and we're very proud of the last two years. we know that this year we will get the same results. that is that we're actually closing the achievement gap for african-american, latino, and pacific islander students here.
