commissioner wald. >> thank you. at our october 22 policy committee meeting we heard a presentation by the sfmta on their transportation sector action strategy they formulated in cooperation with the department of the environment. it's another great example of cross agency, interdepartmental collaboration we saw here earlier this evening though i point the out it was different people. we also heard from dr. chris giger of the department on how the integrated pest management program and various aspects are going to be carried out over the rest of the year. he was joined by people from public works or rec and parks department and the san francisco puc and bay friendly. among other things we discussed the use of pesticides and talked about advanced notification. the department will be holding a public hearing on the draft reduce risk pesticide list in december. in january, the policy committee will be discussing the public comment then in march it comes to us. at our november 12 meeting we heard a presentation on the en

this is a bus transfer which was found in the pocket of lee harvey os wald after he was arrested. and was obtained by the dallas police. and given to the fbi and became a commission exhibit. of the warren commission. the second item that you requested is lee harvey os wald's address book. a custom made container. and again this is acid free. this is they have this handy little lift. so you can get it out without having to pull. there's a commission exhibit number of on there. 18. and it has all of his handwritten items including a map. addresses and telephone numbers. which you would expect. the final item is a map. of mechanixico city. he made a trip to mexico city. prior to the assassination. and brought this map home. and this was acquired by dallas police. and the fbi and the warren commission. this side of the map there's a smaller map with tourist spots. which are identified on this side. as you can tell certain things were circled. it was like that when we received it. obviously we wouldn't add anything like that. the backside is larger map. again with several items circled

when the dallas police were transfers lee harvey os wald. tv was covering that transfer live. this cbs tv camera from dallas at the time was in the basement and filmed the transfer. and of course during the transfer was when bar owner jack ruby emerged from the crowd and murdered the expected assassin on live tv. this is the tv camera back as i say when they were the size of a car that filmed that historic incident. the kennedy family, jacky his children. personal items here. this two letters here that she wrote to margaret. who was the wife of robert. who was kennedy's defense secretary. very personal note. this is in july of 1964. she had decided to move she and the children to new york city. to seek a new life. and she wrote a note. and this is the handwritten reply from jacky. where she says she must attempt to start a new life. i don't have great hopes for it but i know it will be better for the children. such a really a heart rendering line. here of course years later. jfk jr., john john. in the white house. became the publisher of the magazine a public figure himself. 1

but here's a picture i made of the lee harvey os wald. that tragic day. of the gun that he used to shoot jfk. so as a working journalist i was at a lot of the events. i felt this exhibit would serve a better purpose showing the work of my colleagues rather than some lesser pictures i had made. as i look around the walls here and remember the four months that went into putting this together, all of these photographs by photographers i knew that i traveled with and had breakfast or dinner with. it was quite an experience. looking back at history. and remembering those moments. some of them hard struggles to get a picture that looks like easy to take. crowds of photographers but yet finding that you were a fly on the wall in many instances. is like looking for the decisive moment. these are pictures of the leading photographers of the golden age of photo journalism. i'm very proud they all allowed me to kind of dip into their archives. and find the images that tell the story of john f. kennedy. and his vision for america. >>> you can watch this and other ame
