justine waldman joins us live from the north bay... . but first, chief meteorologist lawrence karnow is tracking the timing of this storm. lawrence karnow: more rain and thunderstorms rolled through the bay area today. we had some sunshine between the clouds but it remained cool with highs in the 50s. we've even see some snow on our local mountains. there are numerous showers on our doppler radar. thunderstorms with brief heavy downpours are possible. isolated hail and more snow over the mountains is likely tonight and tomorrow. on the satellite you can see the clouds moving in from the pacific. this is very unstable air and while the showers will be more scattered they will be heavy at times and can dump a lot of rain in a short amount of time. heavy snow is also forecast for the sierra with between 2 to 4 feet above 7,000 feet. it will be very difficult to travel there tonight with periods of whiteout slick roads. we will see more showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms. highs will be cool and in the we could see a few left over
