it happened right inside the front door of this walgreens. this is on powell between o'farrell and ellis. it's a 24-hour store. it was closed for a time for the investigation. but is now back open. police were called out about 2:00 this morning. the investigators say there was some kind of argument between two groups of people that escalated. someone pulled a knife and two people wound up being stabbed. the victims were taken to san francisco general hospital. police tell me, though, that both team are stable. officers moved in. they searched the union square area for the attackers. we saw police take one man into custody at stockton and geary. it's unclear exactly what his connection is to the stabbing. police also did block off part of the square with crime scene tape as part of this investigation. we don't know exactly what, if any, evidence was recovered there at that particular scene. we bring you back out here to a live picture. a very busy area here off union square. police are trying to figure out what led up to the attack, that promp
