kron four's capitol correspondent eytan wallace says the story. >> while statewide, it will still be a while untilaall the votes are processed and counted. in fact, final certification of the results here in california is still weeks away. in california, the counting continues according to the secretary of state's office as of the weekend leading up to veterans day statewide, there were still about 4.9 million ballots left to count. we tell people to be patient. you will get the final count. that's the message from california's election chief secretary of state dr. shirley weber. >> she points out county elections offices have until december 5th. exactly one month after election day to certify results from their webber's office has an additional week to issue a final certification of the results statewide. nothing is official until it's official. in fact, ballots that were postmarked on or before election day but have not yet arrived to the elections office can still count as long as they arrive. no later than one week after election day. and in addition of that, webber says signatur
