the buses don't even start rolling until 5:00, but check this out here at walnut creek. if you asked me to estimate, i would say at least 45 to 50 people in line. and it seems like a person is jumping in line every minute. this seems all too familiar for people because it was a few months ago we had the last bart strike with buses shuttling people into the city from different east bay stations. the same thing will start again this morning at 5:00 a.m. and run until 8:00 a.m. if you're heading out the door, the stations to catch a bus are el so tree dough, west oakland, concord, walnut creek, lafayette, dublin, pleasanton, san leandro, hayward and the fremont station. the buses will take you to the san francisco bay tunnel and starting at 3:00 running until 7:00 the buses will return back to those bart stations, but just like we had a few months ago, the buses probably won't be enough to handle the capacity of people that typically ride bart on a daily basis. back here live at the walnut creek station, we just talked to a couple people and will let you hear from them in t

this happened along jones road between the walnut creek and pleasant hill stations. kpix 5's brian webb reports. >> reporter: ann officially this is a bart police investigation. and it's kind of turned into an eerie scene out here. the crowds have cleared out, the workers who came down here to see things for themselves, they are gone, too. what is left is this empty four- car bart train standing still on the tracks frozen in time and the bodies are still near the tracks about 500 feet to the south of us covered with tarps and there are a few bart officials running between the two scenes. this is what we know from bart management so far. two employees were hit by an out of service train about 2:00 north of the walnut creek station. they were working on a reported dip in the track at the time. by procedure one of them was supposed to inspect the track, the other was supposed to be a lookout for incoming train traffic. both are said to be experienced on the tracks and around the train. the train itself we're told was on a, quote, routine maintenance run with an experien
