"the secret life of walter mitty," "grudge match, " that's kind of weird.n bieber movie. >> he has a built-in fan base, including my daughter. like 20 --omething 44 million twitter fans. he is doing something right. i should learn from him. as you look at these others, what jumps out at you? >> one of the big issues, "47 ronin" is a new picture. it looks like universal is talking about taking a right down on that movie. the initial expectations are below what they needed. >> people are pending key anna keanu -- are panning reeves. >> they do not even mention his name in the trailer. i think they are trying to focus on the spectacle of the production. they are trying to take the character out of it. not thatications are great. >> we talk about the christmas day box office battle, but in all seriousness, is this an important time for the movie theaters in the same way the summer blockbusters are? >> it really is. it is the big moviegoing time of the year. for hollywood, hollywood in terms of box office in north america, flat coming into the holiday season. th

i'm here visiting the set locations where ben stiller directed "the secret life of walter mitty" and. i visited a beautiful, small fishing town called hop where ben stiller lived for 30 days when he shot the film. the cool thing is the community is so small that the local dentist actually rented out his house to ben stiller while he was living there and shooting the movie. and in the community, there is these two houses that compete every single year for the best christmas tree lights. it's incredible. i visited the iceland premiere of the movie last night. i interviewed a rock group called of monsters and men. it's been an incredible experience and i'll have my interview with ben stiller coming up around the time of christmas. the movie comes out on christmas day. >> kevin, is this the ultimate geekout? you've trademarked that. is this the ultimate, being up on that glacier? they made a lot of different movies there. >> i was geeking out like crazy. they shot "interstellar." it's incredible! i was freaking out, man. it was awesome. thank you for having me on. so fun. >> how did you

"the secret life of walter mitty," it should have been great.ed on a 1937 story by james -- about a hapless day dreamer. he dreams big. in 1947 danny kay starred in the movie version but now ben stiller has his own version, starring as a man looking at a magazine shifting over to digital. that's relevant. working for life magazine, great touch in this movie. he loses an important negative, leads to tracking down an exstin trick -- eccentric photographer played by sean penn. the family with this -- the problem with this film, walter's fantasies are not specific. the cinematography is beautiful but not the film. badly directed. here's movies i hope people will see right now, "american hustle," "frozen" for the entire family and wonderful, ma dina mansell is a fantastic singer. wonderful, wonderful "frozen." "saving mr. banks," a beautiful movie. the other big movie, the last one that i haven't seen yet is "the secret life of walter mitty." i just noticed this morning it got a very look warm review in the times so maybe that's not going to be the big oscar movie some predicted.
