the one thing i received 8 weeks of in-patient treatment at walter reid army medical center for stuttering. i had never been with a group of stutterers before, we used to joke about, we're going to get out of the army and become disjock kis. i didn't know that i would later earn my living lecturing to university students around the world, so for that and many other things that i gained during my military services, i'm deeply grateful. in my career, i overcame one of my disabilities, present ones, learning disabilities, after having been rejected to go to the school of my choice, michigan state university, i got that letter that says you have not yet demonstrated the ability to succeed in our program. i came back and earned a phd from that university. this carried me into other areas within my educational career of 27 years, i became very much involved in community service, followed the teachers of robert green leaf in servant leadership, most notably i led students for 8 years in four different countries to perform 3200 hours of service, the ark here in san francisco is one of the areas wh

new jersey transit's river line, they suspended services between waterfront over to the walter reid center because of flooding across the track. east on 422, jammed solid from a a approaching royersford all because of an accident and then that delay just continues all the way in through king of prussia lights out at 15th and market in the area around city hall, traffic lights that is, some flooding and disable on the kelly drive right here near strawberry in mansion. anybody riding in that right or left lane with drainage grates popping up we will find out where those drains are enclosing today and we have found out the the hard way. we have had a couple accidents, that were caused by some of the blocked drains and hydroplaning. tacony pal will my use back in business. we had an earlier opening but that freighter is heading north and will impact burlington bristol bridge with the opening around 8:05 or 8:10 this morning. we are looking at two hour 20 minute delays at laguardia and philly posting delays of 40 minutes. delays in the air because of the weather as well, mike and alex, back to

that day met with the parents of walter scott today, for the first time since he turned over his video to the family. joining me now, msnbc natural correspondent, joy reid. joy, i know you've been down there today and you've been talking to the family. one thing that struck me about this is that the initial thought is for a third brake light being out. it was pretty clearly, essentially an investigatory, a pre-textual stop because he saw this guy and want to search him and see what he was up to. >> yeah, absolutely. and the initial parts of this approximate three-minute video are pretty routine. the third brake light, which i assume would be a minor violation, but it becomes very clear that walter scott did not want to continue the interaction. we're still trying to confirm at what stage he was in purchasing that car. so he clearly did not want to continue the interaction. but there was nothing in that initial stop that seemed threatening or violent in any way. but once mr. scott gets out of the car and runs, that is where the big questions begin. the hearing "taser, taser, taser." hearing, something on the order of "stop or i'll taze you," and later on
