and i'm joined now by warren marines with us desk of of k p m g which of course commissioned a study warren thank you for joining us you know this economy the u.s. economy has been so good it's been booming as we've seen even as there's been a global slowdown would that not translate to more investment actually here in german properties you would think so wouldn't you however we've seen clearly that the amount of foreign direct investment in germany is been on the decline since 2014 and that trend is continuing and as you mentioned in our survey the companies that we that we asked they clearly are pulling back their investment and focusing and more on core business as opposed to expanding existing existing business or making acquisitions or how much responsibility falls in the trade conflict that we've seen since last year. you know it's really hard to say how much is the responsibility of the trade conflict clearly on both sides there is a. there is a reluctance to make additional investments and wait and see how things are going to pan out i'm not sure that we have information that

independence a group of sailors and marines on a ship fighting in the war for independence, they had a problem with their commanding officer. they served on the u.s.s. warrenhe command of this guy,essick hopkins. apparently he was not awesome. he was so bad the men serving under him sent a petition to the continental congress laying out their grievances with their commanding officer, and is hard to read 18th century sailor penmanship, but in their petition they said this guy had done everything from swearing to torturing people. the sailors serving under his command wrote to the continental congress to say that essick hopkins was unfit to lead them, and they wanted him removed. this was a huge risk for them because their commander was not just any old guy. he was kind of the guy. he was the first commander in chief of the continental navy. nevertheless, there was an investigation into his behavior. the continental congress did vote to remove hopkins from his command. hopkins then retaliated, filed a retaliatory lawsuit that put two of the men who had raised the alarm about him in jail, and the continental congress realized the pickle they were in here: and

warren's blue new deal? it's just come across, i've got some headlines from it. expand protected marineing projects, electrify ports to reduce pollution. do you have any idea how much this is going to cost? >> i have absolutely no idea how much it's going to cost. [laughter] i don't think anybody has any idea how much any of this stuff is actually going to cost. but i think it's just political posturing because elizabeth warren is one of the biggest supporters of the green new deal, of course. and the green new deal eliminates all fossil fuels, your gasoline-powered car, your coal-fired power plants, your natural gas plant, all of that stuff goes away overnight, basically, in the green new deal. so i don't know why we need all of these other things in the blue new deal, the deal with co2 emissions when they're supposedly going to disappear under the green new deal. i think this is a plan to help win over the really far left of the party, and that's the only way she's going to win the nomination at this point. stuart: it's another plan to wreck the economy. >> yes. stuart: there's no way
