"action news" reporter annie mccormick is live at 57th and warrington streets in southwest philadelphiaorning annie. >> reporter: good morning tam. and this morning police have released new information that they hope leads to help track down the driver that they say is responsible for striking and killing that little boy. new this morning police are looking for a black ford edge that looks similar to this one. they tell us it's a 2011 to 2014 model a limited edition with chrome trim on the window. it was around 6:30 last night that witnesses say a four-year-old boy darted into the roadway near the intersection of 57th and litchfield. he was transported to chop where he was pronounced dead a short time later. this surveillance video is too graphic to show in its entirety but it shows the driver of the vehicle struck the child sending him flying 15 feet down the roadway. the driver then literally runs over the unconscious youngster before speeding away. several witnesses tried chasing the driver while the boy's mother tried reviving her son. witnesses also tried to help and called 911. >>
