but clearly seeing the yellow from the lakes region in through the mount washington valley, that's where five to as much as seven inches of rain accumulated out of this particular storm. and then the numbers do taper off to the north and west. very impressive totals in concord, just under four inches of rain out of this storm. earlier, yesterday, only 1.54 inches had accumulated in the month of september in concord. if we were on that pace right through the last couple of days of the month, it would have turned out to be the 19th driest september on record. as for rainfall in the last 24 hours, we're up to 5.5 inches of rain and after today that puts us 20th wettest on record out of the 110 year record. the average 3.35 inches of rain. all the heavy stuff is gone. lingering showers continue in the great north woods. couple more scooting in towards the upper valley. but outside of that will be mainly dry a good part of the evening. a lot of dry air building in from that direction takes over for thursday. now, what about the chance of showers the next couple days? they do exist in a few pa

in wilmington, it's 92. 91 northeast philly. 87 degrees, washington township. lehigh valleytill close to 90 with upper 80s, 89 for allentown, 88 in reading, 86 in doylestown and closer to the shore, it is a little bit cooler with temperatures in the low 80s in beach haven, 86 degrees in woodbine, 86 in dover. again, we are in a heat wave and we will actually stay in a heat wave. today officially makes heat wave number five. tomorrow and even thursday we will be staying in the heat wave with temperatures in the 90s. a chance of rain before the weekend gets here will help to at least bring the temperatures down a little bit. radar, nice and dry through most of the area. we were watching one thunderstorm in sussex county but that's moving out. now you see this little thin green line moving through washington township closer to philadelphia. that's actually a sea breeze coming in. so winds coming in from the ocean because of the heating of the day, that has created the very thin line and a lot of the times we get thunderstorms from a sea breeze but in this case, not very strong.
