i wanted to recognize our watershed environment program coordinator. when we presented in december about all of our projects, karla had a chance to generally describe a lot of different things. this was one of the things we highlighted as a priority, this lease and project. usually, i asked her to just orchestrate. this was one of the cases where she had to orchestrate and go out and pick up the pieces and make the whole thing happened almost from scratch. real estate, finance, external affairs and our general manager -- everybody had a hand in this because of its complexity and the way it deals with all parts of the uc. the first lease was four and a half years ago. it was an experiment. we did our best to estimate what we thought needed to be done, and we are back hand out to set the stage for the next five and a half years. that is why it took in some cases months to pull things together. we are generally staffed out in this area right now on issues like this. in a lot of ways, i want to recognize some bell and her staff for having built this gap wi

habitat reserve program and watershed improvement program. during the reporting quarter, we reached $2.3 billion worth of product construction. if later today you approve the construction, the piece of the pie will grow by $423 million. during the quarter, the replacement project went from this, and we also had three projects move into construction. that would be the water improvement project, the dam project, and the replacement project. as of april 2, we completed construction on two-thirds of our regional projects. another familiar slide where we compare the variances on schedule and costs from the last reporting quarter to this quarter. you can see that we are forecasting program costs to be $148 million less than the approved budget. that is on the regional side. this is a $27 million reduction in the savings we had accumulated under the approved budget. the forecasted completion of the regional program is now eight months later than what was reported in the previous quarter. this is still tied to the project. i will explain that later i

the commission has set a deadline at the end of 2018 to revisit that limitation off of the watersheds. there is no other policy decision out there, we extended that supply limitation to 2035. that is 184 allocated to the wholesale customers collectively. this includes the demand of san jose and santa clara. this assumes that they would stay at a temporary and intractable basis. this allocates $81 million per day to the retail system. what this shows are the unrestricted purchase restrictions. if we did not impose the supply limitations and what you see here is the demand is down currently so the customers to not exceed 184 based on their projections until sometime after 2020, somewhere between 2020 and 2025. this does increase the demand projections to 198 million gallons per day. this gives us an indication of about $14 million -- for 2 million gallons per day. that will help to form the basis for the decision in the future. it shows a fairly flat picture for san francisco. there has been many employment projections. conservation was the last commission meeting, at least as an inform
