well, firefighter were told to stop the forward progress of a vegetation fire near watsonville .fire helicopter made several air drops and fire crews worked overnight on the fire, which is burning in steep, rugged terrain. it started yesterday near pole line road in mount mount madonna county park, no injuries were reported and just under two acres of burned. the cause is not yet known and strong winds really kept bay area firefighters busy all weekend. cal fire says the gusty winds played a major role in a wildfire in napa county that has been burning for the past few days. the snell fire began friday night near hope valley and quickly grew to more than 100 acres. it is now fully contained. we're really kind of in mop up operations and that's just our crews working to make sure that we're extinguishing hotspots and be removing hazards from trees felling trees and doing that type of work to try to get this thing shored up. firefighters in san jose are also watching out for hotspots from a fire burning near lake cunningham that began yesterday afternoon. crews kept the flames from
