we saw watsonville road at monterey closed off. we saw several other streets, like lamar in this area that had also received a lot of water. the city crews were out monitoring the area. and they say that, yes, these are some of the hot spots of morgan hill, but they try and close them off, do the best they can. now the street that we're right near is across the street from tim gall's home. and he says that, yeah, this is something that happens from time to time. i've been here 27 years and it floods almost every single year, not to this extent, but almost every year. there's every time we get a heavy rain in january, a lot of times the water comes up like this, a lot of water and no power. i hear there was some power outages too as well, ian, in that area. yeah, there were 11,000 pg&e customers actually lost power for a couple hours in morgan hill this morning. some schools were in the dark as well, but they remained open. in fact, half of morgan hill's downtown did not have electricity this morning. that forced some businesses to

flood water closing watsonville road at monterey and inundating the roads near little yaga's creek. the first crack in the driveway. it was covering that crack. the street in front of timothy gall's home was closed off for much of the day. it appears at least one car had water damage. i've been here 27 years and it floods almost every single year. not to this extent, but almost every year. a few blocks over lamar drive was underwater. two city crews were monitoring those flooded streets and note their typical hotspots in big downpours. the storm also knocked out power to thousands here. half of morgan hill's downtown was in the dark for a few hours, closing some businesses, but main street bagels was trying to stay open. any kind of closing that we can make it. i'd say at 1015 in about 15 minutes down the street. the outage sent the cafe owner into a race against time to save their signature gelato and other food. we've got food. we've got to keep it at maximum temperatures of 41 degrees. so we've got to take the refrigeration and move it all into one refrigerator and get a generato
