jack: a waukee family is working to bring good from a tragedy. waukee high school senior drew lienemann was pronounced brain dead on monday at mercy medical center in des moines, after he tried to kill himself over the weekend. today, his family held a press conference to try prevent the same tragedy from happening to other families. they spoke about how he helped talk another student out of committing suicide. his parents say they don't want to glamorize what happened, and believe their son's life was just beginning. wanda lienemann, drew's mother: "knowing drew and all that he could have provided over his lifetime, it would have just been incredible. i can't even imagine how many more lives he would have touched. we do find comfort that our people are being helped, but what else he could have done was just incredible. in waukee, the first man accused of murder in forty years appeared in court today... brendan mcguinness appeared at his pretrial hearing in dallas county this morning. police say he shot and killed a man in the driveway of the man's home back in november. mcguiness has pleaded not guilty. his trial is scheduled to begin february first. fort dodge police are investigating an incident that had two victims held at gunpoint. the incident started in the 6-hundred block of north 23rd street around 7 last night. and then police say the suspects forced one of the victims into his car and then drove him and another person to oleson park at gunpoint. the driver says he and another person were assaulted, and his vehicle suspects. police say only one weapon was displayed. police have four suspects in custody. we will only show two since the others are minors... they arrested ricky riley and dakota marnach. both suspects were transferred to eldora police are still looking for a motive but say the victims and suspects know each other. a man in marshalltown is in jail today after po
