here they are dancing in the waukesha fourth of july parade today. you may remember two years ago a man drove his suv into a christmas parade killing four of the gragrannies. but the grannies vowed to continue dancing all over wisconsin and the u.s., and this year the waukesha mayor gave them a special honor. he declared july 3rd dancing grannies and 610 stompers to honor the grannies and a fellow dance group who joined them. they first appeared in the parade in the 1980s. >>> it's an independence day tradition, the oldest ship in the u.s. navy sailed around the boston harbor. it's the u.s.s. constitution or old ironside as they call it. that's the nickname she earned in the war of 1812 when soldiers saw cannon balls bouncing off the wooden hall. today the ship made their annual voyage around the harbor to turn around and expose the other side of the ship to heavy weather. they read the declaration of independence followed by a 21 gun salute. >>> staying in the east coast, a convenience chain offered patriotic prices to celebrate the fourth of july.
