. >>> the other big story is in wayne county. four-hour disturbance there. >> lauren haviland is at the prison with the latest developments. >> reporter: normally there are 800 inmates housed at the neuse correctional institute here in goldsboro. earlier this morning about 500 of them had to be moved to a different facility because of the damage caused during that disturbance. the department of public safety officials tell us a small group of inmates set at least two separate fires at the prison afternoon. one was set in the prison's diagnostic building, and one was set in the storage shed that held supplies and that is destroyed. officials say the inmates involved also broke windows and damaged four dorm rooms. you could still see the smoke coming from the minimum security prison around midnight. according to authorities one prison employee is being treated for minor injuries while responding to the disturbance, one inmate was assaulted but has been treated and released. they consider it a riot if the inmates take control of the
