wayne freedman is live at the starting line at the marina green. hi wayne, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. seven minutes ago right here it was bicycle heaven this was the center of the universe for anybody who likes biking or racing. here's how it looked a few moments ago from in spot as all those bicyclists from 16 teams, 128 riders from 22 countries, set off on a 117 mile journey. you can see them going through the presidio. they will see the bridge, angel island, south on highway 1 through daly city and pacifica to devils slide. then they turn inland to the scenic bonnie dunes in san mateo county. then they finish in santa cruz county. they estimate they will finish at 3:50 p.m., approximately. that's a good estimate. these bikes average 28 miles an hour. not an ounce of fat on any of those bike riders. back live now where we have other people who do have a few ounces of fat on them. but after seeing these bike riders takeoff i'm sure they will inspire go on diets, eat protein and buy bikes and do 115 miles a day themselves. we'll keep
