abc 7 news reporter wayne friedman has been at the scene all day.ne. >> reporter: all day, waiting to drain the fuel. they tell us a few minutes ago that tanker truck behind me is all empty but this started this morning. everyone has been frustrated. the chp has been frustrated which is why they now talk about a worst-case scenario in which sir francis drake boulevard might not open until tomorrow morning. it all depends on the damage beneath the truck. here's what we do know. as it was this morning the commute was a mess. traffic backed up on the richmond ridge all due to this tanker truck that overturned spread across woekt lanes of sir francis drake boulevard and began leaking fuel, as many as 4,000 gallons by some estimates now, up from the 1,700 we heard this morning. none of it spilled into the bay thanks to the containment by the san quentin fire department. we have homes evacuated along with 40 people. you might wonder what's taken so long. let's begin with the rig itself. both of these tanks have holes in them. >> the trailer was difficult
