eric fischer, chief meteorologist of our boston station wbz, is following this severe weather system. >> reporter: unfortunately, a deadly day of weather kicked off the week here, especially across the plains. notice a large number of tornado reports. over a dozen of them. what was different between this outbreak and a couple that really didn't live up to maybe the expectations earlier on this season, a strong push of westerly winds. we had more wind shear to work with and some really dramatic tornados that formed. as we look forward, we're watching another area of storms fire up through this afternoon and evening, especially reaching down into texas, as well as over toward the ohio valley. that's our tuesday. another piece of energy is going to swing out on wednesday. we're going to watch those thunderstorms refire across especially parts of the midwest. so our tuesday outlook, from del rio toward austin, this may extend toward dallas. a chance of large hail and isolate ed tornadoes. also keep an eye on the lower ohio river valley. wednesday looks like it's going to be a busier day f

chief meteorologist eric fisher is tracking the storm at our boston station, wbz. eric, what's the latest? >> reporter: well, reena, we have been watching the storm over the course of today, it's still a little bit disorganized. you can see on satellite, a blowup of clouds. all the storms are on one side of it, the center is actually right in here, so all of the nencentration is off to one side. this is a sign of not a m,werhouse system. wind speeds sustained at 40 miles per hour. still a tropical storm, still going to bring a lot of rain, g me gusting winds to the coastline, not what you want to see on a holiday weekend. very slow track, it makes landfall right around charleston late tonight and into sunday, but then it stalls out. so, even as we look towards wednesday, the low center is still on the outer banks. so, we are going to have several days of rain to deal with this system, even as it weakens inland. caopical storm warnings are out rnl out along the south carolina thastline, and some of this toisture will affect all the way up the eastern seaboard. on me
