it was monday night when tim weber heard a young dear crying behind his fernwood street home in san mateoim up and he and his son went to investigate. we come walking down and we are 20 feet from this spot and the mountain lion was on top of this little deer here and it jumped up and ran 20-30 yards from us and watched us the entire time until we walked out the deer carcass remains near the creek bed and it wasn't the last time weber was to see the mountain lion again this morning, the same mountain lion on top of another fawn sot it is a little worrisome, we are in its habitat but it's scary because there are young kids, everybody has animals , there have been postings that peoples cats are missing so it's a little concerning sot-a mountain lion in an urban area is always a concern the california department of fish and wildlife has confirmed the mountain lion did kill this fawn but says there are no plans track it, capture it or kill it fish and wildlife -this lion was was eat deer. no harm no foul so this lion is in good shape as far as the department is concerned. officials say the cha
