all weekend long. checking your kids and pets. that's our advice for this weekend. they have a heat advisory already posted for this weekend saturday and sunday but the heat wave actually continues into next week. so out the door right now, not as much fog as we saw yesterday morning but there are some areas of fog especially along the coast very mild temperatures in the mid-50s to mid-60s and pushing close to upper 60s in some parts like i said livermore right now 68 degrees. by this afternoon a whole lot of sunshine and in our hottest spots we are going to get to that 100 degrees mark but it's going to feel cooler at the coast. sea breeze this afternoon. that ridge of high pressure is building over the bay area bringing some very hot days. it was so interesting, it's really just an inland event. you will find relief, we'll see 60s at the coast all weekend long. so the advisory is just for inland locations, afternoon highs could reach 95 to more than 100 degrees and, yes, of course, check on your kids and pets and, you know, be extra careful drink lots of sunshine

we have a good looking weekend shaping up. there's going to be two different parts to the weekend. today and tomorrow great for the beach, great for hiking, biking, anything you want to do outdoors because it won't be too hot. then on sunday we've got showers headed our way. look at this area of low pressure that arrives. this is packing a lot of moisture. talking three consecutive days of rainfall in the bay area starting at 9:00 p.m. on sunday night. we stop the clock on your future. from sonoma to marin county and san francisco getting showers as of sunday night. then as we head through monday, tuesday, wednesday, we keep showers in the forecast. so the first week of summer is going to feel a whole lot more like the first week of fall with temperatures dropping off as well. today, though, not too bad. great day to get outdoors. 84 degrees in livermore, 86 in concord, 67 degrees in san francisco. you know why the rain is also good? for our fire weather. it's going to keep a lot more moisture in the atmosphere and that's good for us. 77 degrees by tuesday. wednesday into thursday,
