wendy? >> scott macfarlane. >> now to a developing story in prince george's county where an officer fires at a man with a gun in i quiet residential cul-de-sac this afternoon. this is on clarion court. news 4's derek ward is there now. we just heard police caught up with the guy. >> reporter: well, it looks that way. it looks like the situation has resolved itself during the course of an hour and there's still an investigation and we're in the 13,000 block of clarion court and it is a quiet cul-de-sac of single family homes and someone called police. take a look at the scene shortly after this all started to unfold. someone called police to report a suspicious vehicle and a suspicious person. the first officer arrived and found that car and apparently saw that the occupant, at least one occupant in that car was armed and we don't know what kind of confrontation or interact went on between the officer and the suspect. a shot was filed between the police officer and the suspect ran off. it was

7 over the scene of a wreck on new hampshire avenue where police say a confrontation started at a wendy's in calverton. the people being chased say shots were fired. it ended it in a shopping center along new hampshire avenue. no one was hurt. four people were taken into custody. we will keep you informed. alison: we are keeping a close eye on this, of fire at a high-rise hotel in dubai. these flames started at about 1:00 p.m. our time. we don't know how. 14 people were injured as the hotel was evacuated. one had a heart attack. they are all expected to be ok. in fact the downtown fire did not even stop to buy from holding its fireworks celebration for new year's. we will keep you posted on this breaking situation as well. jonathan: that is the most amazing thing. aon: back here at home montgomery county man's memorial
