and we worked at it and we got it. we have it today. is it perfect? no.ut is it moving in the right direction? you bet it is. in afghanistan, we rescued a flawed election, brought together the parties, were able to negotiate to get a unified unity government. which has both of the presidential candidates working together to hold afghanistan and define its future and create -- and negotiate a bsa that defines our future going forward and give afghanistan a chance to make good on the sacrifices of 14 years of our troops and our contributions, and so forth. on ebola, we led that fight. president obama made a brave decision to send 4,000 young american troops there in order to set up the structure so we had a capacity to be able to try to deal with it. 1 million deaths were predicted by last christmas at the time that we did that. and not all the answers were there for questions that were real. but the president sent those people in. we have made the difference, and now there's a huge reduction in the cases, in liberia, sierra leone, guinea, and we're getting

we both did. georgia was a dj there, and we were there all the time, and so it was very natural that when we performed our first show was, we just threw a party there. the owner let us use the back room to have a party. we played, i think it was like seven times within the first three months in the same club, which -- you know, until we start doing hanakah shows and played eight times in eight days, it seemed ridiculous to play -- but it was that era when you could play all the time in one place. now, for all i know, that's going on in brooklyn right now and younger bands have that same relations >> yeah, it probably happens all over the world >> do you ever total up in your minds or on paper how many times you played at maxwells? >> i tried at one point. i tried to add it up and it was -- >> too depressing >> no, very happy. >> i think of you as a touring band that happens to record rather than a band that records music and puts it out and tours to support that. is that a fair characterization? 1

faith, we read this book and we read to the last chapter and we know that we win. we are grateful for the faith that keeps us going every day, but we also note any journey is taken one step at a time. so our victory is a sure -- is assured when we take another step, and we walked together and don't get wary. when we take another step toward freedom and justice knowing that all things are good and those who love the lord and are called to its purpose. we take another step knowing no weapon against us will be able to stop us. we take another step knowing that the lord is my life and my celebration. whom shall i fear? of whom shall i be afraid we take another step knowing that i -- that eyes of not seen any years of not heard and neither has it entered the heart of man and a great things that are in store for all of us if we just keep the faith.
