the snow habenalling west and generally -- has been falling west generally west of route 15 if you will and then we're watching the bands of rain from the south moving in. in northern montgomery. we're seeing that mix of snow and rain and sleet. into parts of howard too. that's why they've got a two hour delay in howard county. frederick back toward loudoun especially western loudoun seeing it. when you get the fauquier county, now you've got some problems too. but this is all lifting to the north and probably not picking up a little bit of the snow in toward charlestown as well and it goes into the shenandoah valley as well where we're getting some reports for a little bit of coating even on the road surface there and there's your more moderate rain now. waldorf south into the northern neck. prince frederick, st. mary's county, mechanicsville all headed your way with temperatures in the low to mid- 30s. and andrews is hovering near freezing but we're at 34. it's 35 in annapolis. leesburg is freezing along with frederick and winchester. so this is where you really got to watch for some

a mastiff fire at alum behr yard in west baltimore. we are live on the scene with the latest. >> reporter: kelly, the fire is under control. you can see the crews are still out here to monitor the situation. this tonight is a story about a close call. it seems the firefighter in charge saw the danger, called for crews to come out, and possibly saved several lives. >> white smoke is a good sign. it fills the air over pennsylvania avenue in west baltimore. but it tells firefighters the flames were put out inside the building. minutes before this video was captured by ron peoples, flames shot through the building at penn lumber. >> when we heard the poof and the front of the building just blew out onto the firefighters. >> reporter: reports came in just before 6:00 monday evening, about three hours after employees left for the day. it seems the firefighter in charge spotted danger and called to evacuate crews, which was life saving. >> the building, three stories, literally collapsed and the firefighters were in the vicinity where they ce

six years while making west virginia a safer place. this past june we saw a storm like no other we'd ever experienced before. the derecho left a record 688,000 homes and businesses without electricity. volunteer fire departments, 911 centers, local officials, and the members of the west virginia national guard were there for us during those storms. and since the terrorist attack on september 11th, the west virginia national guard has deployed over 11,500 men and women overseas and we still have many members deployed today. these brave men and women continue to serve and protect. tonight one of those soldiers is with us, sargent sara yoke. sargent yoke was on a humanitarian mission to a village in afghanistan where she and her fellow soldiers came under enemy fire. because of sara's bravery she received a bronze star and a combat action badge for her service to our country. please help me recognize sargent yoke, adjutant general james hoyer, the men and women of the west virginia national guard, and all veterans here tonight. please sta
