our next stop is west allis, where john quinlan's debut as whitnall's headch west allis central was filled with big plays. central's griffin johnson's pass first quarter, was tipped, then intercepted by dylan peters. next series, fourth and long for the falcons. quarterback andrew mallman airs it out. look at that catch here by dan alexopolous inside the five-yard line. he had to adjust and catch it. mallman scored a few plays later. central answered right back thanks to lightning quick running back xavier mullins, who line of scrimmage, and he was gone down the sideline. mullins with an 81-yard touchdown run to get the bulldogs on the board. late in the first half, central ran a strong two-minute drill to set up luis suarez for this 26-yard field goal. the bulldogs took a 9-7 lead into halftime, and they haven't restarted yet because they had a weather delay. that game will be continue tomorrow. because of realignment next year, homestead and arrowhead won't be able to schedule their annual non-conference season opener anymore, which is too bad, because these powers always put on a show.
