carolina and other parts of the south. think about it this way with the southern states or the mountain west days prior to barack obama's election were mostly republican states and they were largely republican very strong white voters and becoming much more minority over time and the other side if you look at the white and the other part of the country they are becoming more diverse over time even the slew of states will have 70% of eligible voters including wisconsin, michigan ohio and pennsylvania from the 2016 election. so we see the shift over time but to affect parties in different ways. if you look at the age structure as a percentage of the eligible voter population the only age group that is increasing is the 55 and overpopulation because these are baby boomers including myself in this room as we move from that age they will turn 65 you could look at the chart to say what about the decline of the 18 through 29 years old? aren't millennial's' growing? but they will forever not be analytica 29 actually the oldest now is 37 so that is something to keep in mind with the young voter population but aside from states like flori
