the steady rain that's west of philly, that's what's headed towards parts of central new york and new jersey. it's about an hour and a half away. between 9:00 and 8:00, downpours over the hudson northern new jersey. after that, it will be off and on through much of the evening hours. it's not constant. then a line of gusty showers comes through during the overnight with an actual cold front that has nothing but wind. so here is what you need to know. december is now 10 and a half degrees above average as we approach the midpoint. about a third of an inch to maybe a half inch if you get caught in a rumble of thunder overnight. tomorrow is gusty but still around sick. then briefly back to reality. boy it will feel different over the weekend when temperatures struggle to reach the 40-degree mark. the seven-day accuweather forecast in a few minutes. >>> cops in new jersey thinking they were facing man with a real gun opened fire, but turns out it was a bb gun. but they say it looked real. it happened in rochelle park about 3:30 this morning. was driving around with the bb gun. officers sp

philly international. still have some delays but not as bad as earlier. it's 48 in allentown, 49 in west chester. 55 in philadelphia. this is another relatively mild day here. the average high temperature is only around 50 degrees and it hasn't been close to that even for a low temperature this morning. we still have some fog in coatesville, less than a mile visibility. but other visibilities are coming up significantly. one and a half miles at philly international right as of this second. atlantic city international getting three quarters of a mile but, again they were way lower than that a couple hours ago. you can see most of the steady rain goes from north and west to philly and just some patchy drizzle elsewhere. but this other area rain by washington, that will be coming up here so even though we're not seeing big radar echoes here now, it's going to be coming because there it is. now, it's not going to necessarily rain every hour for the rest of the day, but that's multiple hours of rain on the way. watch this futurecast through the afternoon, more of that moisture from washington

west chester. that's because the average high temperature in philadelphia, we're already 54 in philly. 56 in bensalemolly and glassboro, 60 atlantic city international. ha that's an 11:00 a.m. temperature in december. we have a land breeze today and so that's why beach haven is so much warmer than inland. 63 degrees there and 58 in cape may with the wind coming in off of the bay so we're two degrees warmer in philadelphia but allentown and northeast philly, seven degrees warmer than this time yesterday. there are clouds back to the west moving in but there's no rain associated with that so we'll see more in the way of warm weather. here we are on saturday. these are the records and the predicted high. you can see that reading has a great chance of beating the record of only 61. in philadelphia the record is 65. we're predicting 68 so it's going to be exceptional and exceptional for the army/navy game. 68 degrees at kickoff! if you can believe that. and for the eagles game maybe even warmer, perhaps during the third quarter or so we get up to 70 degrees. 70 degrees for a football game in the middle of

look at these wind gusts out of the west, 35 miles an hour in philadelphia, northeast philly. 33 in trentonnd also in mount pocono and that's about as strong as the wind is going to be. this is what's so amazing. four days in a row with record warmth. a record for today set just after midnight, 69 degrees and we could see some more records before this month is over. there's the mild air with us now. it starts to move out as we go into friday and saturday. we definitely get cold. it's going to feel cold over the weekend, especially saturday and saturday night and into sunday morning. but then watch what happens next week. we start getting the mild air back. there's tuesday and we're mild again. the cold air disappears and by christmas eve we could be in record levels again. record warmth, temperatures in the 60s at least and no chance of a white christmas. then there's christmas day still on the mild side, the cold air is far, far away. futurecast shows the dry conditions that we're going to be seeing for the rest of the day today and into tonight and into tomorrow but a little moisture star
