as we look to the west, 101 through scottsdale a little wet. i-10 in the phoenix area is staying dry, for now, along with the 17. over to the side. vehicleerize still moving slowly around-- vehicles are still moving slowly around this one even though it is not actually blocking any lanes of traffic. drive times on the 10 eastbound, a crash at i-10 and 7th avenue, because of that it is very slow from 303 to 7th street, nearly an hour commute with traffic slow from phoenix back to 75th avenue. as far as a look at the rest of the valley, drive times chand at speeds to 12 miles an hour, the 17 southbound into phoenix even getting jachled up to about-- jammed up to about 30 miles an hour. to talk about a serious crash in chandler, arizona avenue south on elliott, the alternate route is alma school or mcqueen, it is involving a pedestrian and police are investigating right now. >> you mentioned the rain, lets talk more about it. here is jimmy live at the phoenix zoo. bit of clearing across our area, you will see the clouds out here and we will tell you about farm days c

west. they are spreading a little bit further into phoenix, paradise valley and could continue to push towards the west. so keep that in mind. some pockets of wet roads and we have more showers to our south and southwest stronger storms. up into maricopa. one. that one is producing some heavier rainfall and also quite a bit of lightning too. heads up if you live in the maricopa area. we're going to see more of these showers and thunderstorms develop through the day. and they're going to be tracking from southeast to northwest. so as they develop the valley's certainly in the path of any of these showers and storms that do fire up. just off to our east that is where we're going to see the more widespread showers and thunderstorms and rainfall too. we're talking upwards of an inch in some spots like cholo. so something to watch for if you are traveling over to maybe northeast arizona today and we've got to watch for strong storms from phoenix to tuscan. we'll talk more about the hazards we'll see with storms today. look at your 7-day forecast. next couple of days rain chances after that we start

. >>> and to your traffic map, we're seeing the slowdowns, the 10 from the west valley and into phoenix and to about 30 miles an hour. the durango curb and slower than that to 20 miles per hour. the crash on the 60 westbound around mill and priest and that is also backing up vehicles this morning but the 101 northbound for now the 60 westbound, you don't need to take side streets. you can make it around it and it's slowing you down for a mile or two and once you're past priest, it starts to open up and this is a look at the 1710 stack and we have eastbound lanes jamming up and looks like the other side, though, the westbound is wide open and that will continue to get busy area throughout the morning and drive times are clear right now. the 10 westbound only taking downtown and on a live drive now, this is the eastbound 10 and into phoenix. about 51st avenue right now and into the red zone and this commute is still overall in the yellow, guys is come take 20 minutes from the 101 to 7th street. >> and thanksgiving will be here before you know it in a few weeks and that means it's time for
