it's not a fun morning if you're in colorado or new mexico, even west texas. we have a ton of heavy rain this weekend that continues this morning through arkansas, tennessee, up through areas of kentucky. we're starting to see a changeover from some of that rain to snow in west texas. here is the setup. another mild morning for the eastern seaboard of i-95. another rainey morning for you from the mississippi valley, tennessee valley, up into the ohio valley. and then just bitterly cold air has escaped canada and rushing down through areas of colorado. as far as the rain/snow goes, here is the transition, from midland, you're cold enough for snow. abilene, you're getting snow. we have winter storm warnings for many areas of new mexico and it's plenty cold in albuquerque where you're watching the snowflakes fly this morning. minus 6 in denver. everywhere in white is in the negative numbers. from the northern rockies to the northern plains, it feels like the milths of winter. but the rest of the east coast feels like late or middle fall. here is your forecast for

treasury bonds, and also west texas intermediate crude oil prices, benchmark wti up 1.5%. still, the focus this week may shift to key events in the u.s. and japan. in the u.s., we have the federal reserve having its policy meeting on tuesday, and really having a look at some of the recent economic data out of the u.s. it has shown an improvement across a lot of sectors, jobs, housing, and manufacturing, to name a few. so the focus is really on the language or words that the federal reserve uses at the end of its policy meeting. in japan, we have an important quarterly economic data. quarterly japan business survey for large and small manufacturers, and nine months after the march 11th disaster, a lot of focus will be on how japan's economy has been going through this period, where there's regional economies like fukushima that have been devastated both from the farming and fishing products, and also across a lot of different regions in the auto industry. we will see a lot of information from that thursday. that's going to be a crucial bit of data for japan. ai? >> all eyes

parts of west texas have had more snow in chicago. perhaps chicago gets a will out of this as well. i wanted you to see where the rain is. this is going to take awhile before it gets in here. clouds and random sprinkles here and there and this will continue to move on in and we'll have some chance of showers tomorrow morning and a better chase, especially through the rest of the day. the forecast tonight, spotty showers and we could have a touch of fog here and there and that is going to be mile for december. the temperature of 52 degrees in this warmer air aloft and means week see some fog around. then for tomorrow, we'll say a chance of showers, pretty good chance, as a matter of fact, and the chance goes up in the afternoon and that will still be warm, though, for december at 62 degrees and strong south- southwest wind, pumps in the warm stuff. so, plan on a cloudy day with some showers for tuesday and at 8 in the morning, 54 degrees and no heavy coats needed. by noon, 61 and bring the rain coat and umbrella and by 4:00, still rainy out there at 60 degrees. this is your future ca

several systems lining up in the pacific, and a storm system that brought that snow across west texasssissippi and the mid south. this will combine with a little cool front coming across chicago. and parts of western p.a., upstate new york, and northern new england again will see a bit of snow from this. but generally speaking the mild weather pattern will continue, and we'll see temperatures well above average over the next several days. temps 45 in new york to 48 degrees in chicago. pacific northwest, just south of seattle, this is storm damage from winds that came through western washington over the weekend. a lot of trees downed. some power lines down. even one fatality from a big tree limb that fell on a car. at one point, almost 20,000 people without power there. so not only a nonwhite christmas, but a dark christmas for our friends just south of seattle. high temperature today in seattle 43. 41 degrees in portland. and 70 in los angeles. and light winds as compared to what they saw last week. >> must be nice. >> nice to talk to you, rob. thank you, my friend. >>> green bay pack
