pretty much all of west virginia is rural. we, um, i want to talk about so our students i believe reflect the political climate of the state. that instead of being a conflict i think we've all worked to try to get past the memes and the sound bytes and get to a place of rolling up our sleeves together to look at our common problems. because once -- we had a wonderful professional development session years ago and she said that can you figure this out is the mating call of the brain. so once you have a problem and you look at the data for it, look how much we're spending on electricity on our campus. suddenly solutions begin to pop up. a little bit more framing about the campus. we have inactive minds underneath the campus. there are some pillars of support and then active mining adjacent to the campus. i believe that's still active. it was a year ago. i recently retired as a chemistry professor. i loved the anderson's law idea. and at the same time we have solar panels. a small array but it's a demonstration. it's on a steep s

think about when you vote in west virginia. my guess is you don't show up with proof of your citizenship. you are on the voter rolls in west virginia u can't get on unless you are a citizen and eligible to vote. your proof of identity maybe it's your utility bill, driver's license. those things don't say you are a citizen. the only two documents you can have that say are you a citizen is either a passport or an original copy of your birth certificate, certified by the hospital you were born. if you are not a person who has needs to travel all the time, you're not going to have a passport. for a lot of folks, i wonder myself, could i find my birth certificate. an original copy signed off by the hospital. could i find that quickly? i probably have to call my parents up and see if they know where that is. that creates a situation where now a whole bunch of folks who aren't undocumented but just a whole bunch of folks who don't have access to that information. now end up not being able to vote. this isn't about preventing undocumen
