here's laura westbrook.gas, firebombs have been a regular feature of these protests. in fact, more than 2000 rounds of tear gas have been fired in the past three months. carrie lam has finally agreed to the key demand of these protesters which is the official withdrawal of this controversial extradition bill, which started this whole political crisis three months ago. but, for many of the protesters, this is too little too late because in the last three months, the demands have also grown and they now include an independent inquiry into allegations of police brutality as well as more broad universal suffrage and for a lot of the protesters, yes, she has finally withdrawn the bill. but for them, their demands have grown and they are going to continue to protest. there was time back in march and april where the extraordinary brexit moments came night after night. this week has matched all of them. borisjohnson has lost his parliamentary majority, kicked out 21 mps from his own party some of them giants of the

it was erected in 1920 in westbrook. i mentioned westport had wanted to put up a covered wagon sculpture. the men who had come up with that idea, business leaders and historically minded men got excited about the westport centennial in 1912. then they lost interest. a group of women informed the daughters of westport to promote that centennial. in the aftermath of the celebration after 1912 they became determined to still see a monument put up. they proceeded to do fundraising and never reached the point of putting up a life sized covered wagon which would have been a major undertaking. instead they looked to a more typical model of women's groups at the time. to put a plaque up on to a large boulder. the daughters of the american revolution are putting up similar trail markers at this time. hey put up this one. in 1920. on the left you can see what was the front of the monument. it depickets a young boy tugging at her skirt. and a rifle in her hand. there is an image that was sculpted based on the sketch. that image get
