that's the warning for westchester university students after two robberies on campus in a matter of days. katy zachry is live with more on these crimes. what have you learned there? >> reporter: according to the university's website, one happened on the edge of campus in this area that you're looking at involving a student public safety officer who says that student was walking alone here when he or she was approached by three people in dark clothing asking for money. they struck the student and then ran off. we'll go to a map because a half mile away another similar attack happened over the weekend. this one happened saturday night in the area that appears to be off campus student housing. it happened near east nields street and sharon alley. public safety officers are asking people who live in the area, students as well, if they have any information about the two attacks that happened within the last few days they want it to be reported to both west chester borough police and university police. we'll stay on campus to try to get more information on the alert going out to students. katy

it's almost april. 23 in westchester. 22 in glassboro. and we've had three cold months in a row compared to the long-term average that we call normal. january, 2 degrees below. february, about 10 degrees below. now march, 4 degrees. below that average. so three cold months. now we have air cold enough for snow in western pennsylvania. lake-effect snows and some of the action may be coming over during the day tomorrow. we're drying out during the night tonight. temperatures down into the 20s in areas that clear out. there are some of those snow showers, flurries could be coming down during the day tomorrow in a couple spots. don't think it will be a big deal but if you see some snow at this time of the year that is getting kind of late. in the season for that. a lot of people are not happy about that. they tell me about it every day. mostly cloudy and chilly tonight, 34 for the low in philadelphia. 29, north and west. at least the wind dies down. the wind picks up tomorrow. 15 to 20 miles an hour making those temperatures feel even colder.

westchester county, which is basically between west point and manhattan, is sort of a no-man's land, controlled by nobody, with a lot of roving bands of irregulars on both sides. it's a very dangerous territory, but this is where arnold sends major andr, to make his way back to new york. so andr, is stopped by some irregulars. he could have talked his way out of it quite easily, really, but he didn't think fast enough. they made him take his clothes off so they could search him and in his boot they found plans for the attack on west point in arnold's handwriting, which again arnold had insisted that andr, take back to new york with him. there was no reason for him to be carrying those plans. he could have memorized that easily, but arnold insisted it because he wanted a paper trail to prove what he had done to the british to get his money, i think. but anyway, these guys found the papers, and meanwhile andr, was behaving very foolishly. he was saying, "i'll give you my gold watch if you'll let me go." well, that was too much. i mean, they somehow got wind of the fact that they had so
