in this mass of reports out here in western illinois.most of the other icons represent hill reports. widely scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. between seven and nine storms are to arrive in the city in greater numbers. by midnight they're still roaming the areas. things calm down a little bit. we may get some good downpour's with these thunderstorms in addition to the severe weather producing capability. there is our storm. the powerful southerly winds are moving into this area with humidity. you see how the storm clusters blow up. a judge in cuts to the air mass. what happens is the air rises and begins to rotate. the thunderstorm tends to rotate and you get tornadic vortices to spend up. tomorrow we continue in the wrist area. these storms might reform. there is the thunderstorm watch currently in effect. have a heavy rain appear in the northern midwest. advisory's for wind and possible wild fires of west. is like a july day. look at the wind gust blowing here. lots of energy as all of this error movement goes onair movement go >>
