colder than we experienced lately and we don't have snow in this area, but another story in western maryland. thinks 60-a in far receipt county. it is snowy there this afternoon. tim is over at the weather center, good afternoon, tim -- we had our first brush this month with the winter weather, hitting parts of western maryland and for most of us, rain in the forecast. we want to show you the temperatures now. they are rebounding now. 23 in oakland is the problem in. the temperatures are cold enough to support snow. we stayed in the temperatures around the 60-range and by this time yesterday, just under 60- degrees, a day high of 62 with the temperatures colder out in western maryland and milder down on the shore. what moved through the area was this. on the radar, we had the moisture coming through the area, some of the amounts of rain, very, very heavy, but if you were out in the colder climates, to the west, you saw the snow falling by the afternoon. some totals are impressive, a rain and slow line from washington county to the rest. two inches of snow in washington county and $7 inches o

still in the 20's out in far western maryland. and we take a look at our satellite radar combination right now. and we can see a lot of cloud cover, especially from the northern bay area and northward up into pennsylvania and new york state and back toward ohio, indiana, illinois. that's the cloud cover coming in our direction. we expect this clipper to generate a little snow activity. our forecast for today calls for a lot of clouds, chilly conditions, 42 to 47 the high. a snow shower of late. we're watching that stuff in pennsylvania to see what happens. the mountains will have a great effect on this as far as heating up what little moisture is with that pressure. northwest winds at 10 miles per hour. our indication is that we could see a couple flurries, a brief snow shower. any indications will more than likely be out in far western maryland. no snow a problem out in san diego where clear skies are expected for the game tomorrow evening. evening out there, late afternoon here. chilly conditions, though. during the game, readin

some of that will move in the western maryland as well. we expect to or 3 inches as well, the western part of the county. great news for the ski resort. at least they are going to get some natural snow. the temperatures dip down to 18 or 19 degrees in western maryland. maybe that is a little better news for the ski resorts. bicol they're coming from the west, temperatures are still in the '50s along the coast. west of baltimore, it drops into the thirties. the cold air is starting to inch its way over towards baltimore, you can see the temperature range already. it dropped down to 39, pretty thick fog in the northern part of carroll county and washington county. there is pretty thick fog, so if if you are watching that way, it is going to take a couple hours for that to break up. the wind will take up and it will mix the fog later tonight. there probably won't be there when you are getting up in the morning. the temperatures will eventually settle back into the '30's in most areas. during the day tomorrow, it will be pulling the way throug

close to the 50 degree mark even in far western maryland. coming into parts of central pennsylvania, and it will be in the baltimore area as we head toward morning, at least a few scattered showers and cloudy skies and fall. a rather mild december morning with temperatures within a few degrees of 50. the low pressure area -- it will slow down or stall, allowing the cold air to move in. a new storm may form on the southern end of the front as some of this very cold air makes its way to the eastern seaboard. with that possible storm on the coast and the cold air coming in, the potential is there for some wintry weather. one degree below zero in denver, 24 in kansas city. that cold is coming our way. tomorrow, rather mild brain, then it gets chilly air tomorrow night. chilly rain on wednesday, and look at the snow developing on the western edge of the precipitation. it could change over the snow for the early morning hours of thursday. should clear up thursday afternoon, but it will be breezy and much colder on the other side of that storm for
