a closeup view shows it's in new york and western pennsylvania.and the we're talking about amounts close to a foot. because the air temperature is 40°, and the water is 45, and it pulls a lot of moisture up from the great lakes and dumps it down as snow. the snow amounts, in new york, 12 inches and 6 inches in western pennsylvania, just to the east of erie. as far as the temperatures go, 55 by thursday and friday. and by sunday and monday, climbing just a bit, 57 and close to 60 on monday. so the warmer weather comes back, and you can see the temperatures tomorrow. 60s in the -- i should say the southern plains. houston, 81, and denver and billings. the cool air is here, and warmer each day. but not until the end of the weekend and the start of next week where we'll see the temperatures climb back up to 60°. pacific watching the two typhoons closely. here is japan. and they're slowly moving to the north and the west. and they will combine together. this is not until about saturday. both tracks take these storms just off of the coast of japan. and

western pennsylvania the weather pattern had a lot to do with that, along with pollutants in the air. air here is sinking. it's clear. there's a light breeze and no rain. over to china, there are three weather patterns come nating the area here. so it has kept the air trapped and the air can't go anywhere. the clouds here, that's a front moving through the area. that will stir up the atmosphere and lead to better conditions. 41 degrees in chicago, 58 in memphis, a lot warmer along the east coast and there is rain here. and this is a front that cool air is moving through northeastern pennsylvania, western new york, but it will stop and develop into a coastal storm over the next 24 hours. that's why we're seeing heavy rain here. a storm develops just off of the coast as that cool air comes into the warmer ocean waters intensifying that storm. we'll look at rainy weather here along the coast. temperatures are into the 60s and will continue to climb into the upper 60s before the rain gets here, but then drop. only into the 50s by tomorrow. by tomorrow morning, 40s with rain developing and

we're going to continue to drop through our 50s in western pennsylvania and i think again our suburbs headed for the 40s tonight so that's 19 degrees colder than it was 24 hours ago. pittsburgh 25 degrees colder and it's a pretty dramatic drop. tomorrow, though we'll bright up the skies quite a bit and we'll be very close to average for october. tuesday's temperature about 70 degrees. we increase the clouds a bit on wednesday we might see them coming in later tomorrow and it's only 68 degrees and here's what's going to complicate the forecast this week. not so much tomorrow, high pressure will be in control but what's left of that moisture with karen may actually try to organize into something coming up the coast of coastal area of low pressure and our challenge is, how close does it get to us in the wednesday/thursday time frame and will it even last potentially into friday. so we're going to continue to work on that but right now i can show you what our futurecast is suggesting with it. watching all the showers moving away, starts us out dry tomorrow but watch how the clouds start t
