weston, virginia. alex, a democrat. caller: thank you for taking my call. a question about the green new deal. i am curious how you view the strategy behind marion a lot of our environmental goals with, sort of, more social justice and traditional left-wing goals like minimum wage, and other things that would provide more equity, even though all those things are incredibly important and i am fully supportive of that, but i do imagine it would make the already arduous task of basically getting any republican to side onto these things even harder. i am curious how you view that as we move forward and the green new deal starts to get developed and hopefully implemented. host: alex, thanks for the call. guest: thank you. yes. address the climate crisis and tackle economic inequality at the same time and that is because our energy system has not delivered quality, family-sustaining jobs to the american people. airas not protected peoples and water. we feel like we need to partner with frontline communities -- the communities that have been hit hardest by climate
