captioning sponsored by cbs captioned by media access group at wgbh access.wgbh.org homes go up in flamesa fire spreads out o across a hillside in san jose. >>> kpix 5 news at 6 begins with breaking news. homes up in flames as a grass fire spreads out of control across a hillside in san jose. it sparked up the east foothills at lariat way. ken bastida is in the newsroom tracking the flames. >> reporter: that fire started an hour ago. it continues to spread. here's a live look from the air. chopper 5, the flames are still taking off there. and there is plenty of fuel out there for those flames to spread. the latest word is that it has scorched at least 20 acres. cal fire aircraft and firefighters on the ground working to try to contain it. you can see the red material there the fire retardant that they have dropped from helicopters to try to keep that fire at bay. a park ranger says the fire spread to alum rock park. and they are now evacuating that very popular park in the south bay. this was just moments ago. there is a home being consumed right there burning down to the frame even thoug
