brannan wharf is a new wharf parallel to the embarcadero promenade shown on the screen. at the end and extending for up to 800 feet and up to pier 38. the wharf includes several major components that originateed in the public design process and part of the bcdc permitting including a neighborhood green which consists 400 shape lawn that you see, a walk way and seating and structure and active interpretive structure that illustrates the tide in the bay. san francisco history and taking the shape of the pier in the original location on the south end of the project and inlay of track and interpretive exhibits and mostly flat and raised planter of 18-inches in height and surround by the sea wall. the openness is to orient them towards the bay and the neighborhood in embarcadero. the project addresses sea level rise for a very substantial -- 840 feet section of the waterfront by gently tilting up from the embarcadero promenade and 1 foot at the north end and 2 feet on the south end and concrete curb on the edge and another foot there and we pick up that sea level rise protect

brannon street wharf today.ne we had the privilege of opening up just up north jefferson street promenade. february earlier this year, we did the james cruise ship terminal, the cruise ship terminal at pier 27. of course, last november we all did a lot of great celebration just a little bit more south here at head park, 22 acres of open space. we're literally honoring our open space obligations and doing it the right way. this particular project is impressive not only for its beauty and opening up more space, but it does in a seismically safe way and in a sustainable way accommodate some 75 years of projected sea level lies for our city. and that's incredible because we always are having to pay attention to all of our environment around our city. we're three quarters the bay. and, so, that's a respectful thing. we do it on ocean beach. we do it on the long golden gate. our maritime. of course, here in our waterfront. it's all also about history, not just with otis redding iii, not with the 150 years here, but th

fisherman's wharf. it has been somewhat silently decaying over time, and the fisherman's wharf's comment district had the thought they would like to replace it -- rene anytime -- oh you are ahead of me -- with something more durable but keep it -- it's always been in its iconic format if you will. fisherman's wharf community benefit district has been focused on a series of improvements and beautification as we know that the jefferson street public realm but also this great new crab wheel. the crab wheel is a little bit more environmentally friendly as well and it is now using led lighting. it's a near identical of the original crab wheel sign and it was completed by a company named arrow signs. it is constructed out of aluminum to avoid rust and durable materials and the new lighting is donated by general electric which is really terrific and we are really pleased about that, and i want to thank the community benefit district for coming forward with the projected and funded by the benefit district and t

the jefferson street project which was opened a couple of weeks ago and of course fisherman's wharf and looks very successful and predict from last night and getting praise. we opened the promenade here and a project funded by the 2008 general obligation bond and successful and enjoys the best views of alcatraz from anywhere around and the ferry arch. one that is up and coming that will start construction in november what is known as the plaza in front of the cruise terminal a 2-acre addition out there. this will accomplish many things. one will allow non cruise passengers to enjoy a cruise experience in the city as ships pull up to the space and servesace the court to the cruise terminal building and buffers the transportation functions of a cruise terminal. we are looking involve to bring this on line. funding comes from the general obligation bond of 2012. pier seven and one of the public spaces twped in the late 80's, very popular. you see it in travel magazines and always an icon in san francisco. the plaza and another plaza space and serves a civic function. many events are held t
