the wheelhouse i mentioned on this, the wheelhouse being like when it's going to go off, friday into saturday, up to 6 inches of rain over a couple of days. that's a lot. in san francisco maybe 1.5" to two inches. so we'll see some definite potential flooding, street flooding, storm drains backed up. the moisture plume is big and long. the coastal hills will get the brunt of the heavy rain because all this moisture, there's something called orographic lift which i think you probably know what it is, it hits the hills and it moves it us and condenses it and you squeeze more rain out. that's why i suspect mount tam, woodacre area, up above bolinas and stinson and towards occidental, those will be the big rain numbers, 4 to 6 inches of rain. this is all stuff we can handle. with that said, flash flood watch is in effect for tomorrow and saturday morning for basically the entire bay area. you see showers, this is the current radar showing where the showers are and where they're not. and then you look outside and that's a moist atmosphere. more coming up. >>> the free ktvu weather app is
