caltrain says it happened near whipple avenue in redwood city at about 1230 today from skyfox, you can see the train stopped at the scene. none of the 75 passengers or crew on board was hurt. the transit agency says this is the eighth fatality this year. train traffic returned to normal at about 230 this this afternoon in less than an hour, vallejo police are heading or holding, rather, a town hall meeting. it is a chance for the community to weigh in on a proposed plan to reduce some police services. brooks jarocz joins us now with what this means for the community brooks. well julie, the proposed plan changes how police respond to alarm calls. in most cases, it means officers just won't respond at all. vallejo police hopes this will increase efficiency and focus resources on responding to violent crime. brazen burglars have hit tony's cakes in vallejo time and time again. we had to upgrade our security system, put a metal grates on the windows, really fortify the place. steel owner tony diaz says no suspects have been caught. vallejo police is suffering a staffing state of emergency.
