the usa climbing bouldering championships are this weekend at whitney peak... more than 200 climbers will compete for the regional title at the hotel's base camp... category wilsolar city is laying off 5-hundred-and-50 people in nevada. the layoffs come just two weeks after solarcity announced, it'll stop the sale and installation of rooftop solar panels in nevada. the changes come after n-v energy-- cut the rate it pays solar customers, for extra power. n-v energy argues: solar customers avoided paying some of in the past. solarcity says the new rates-- make solar too expensive, and the decision will quote "effectively shut down" the rooftop solar industry in nevada. "solar is needed in this state we have an abundance of it we're a state that grew up on mining a state that grew up on using natural resources and one of the best natural resources is the sun and it comes up every day." the new rules are expected to raise rates, over the next 5-years, for so-called "net metering customers." that includes about 17- thousand nevada customers, with solar panels. the
