tracee wilkins is live with more on that. good morning. >> good morning. this is around transportation and who will be walking and riding buses. arlington hasn't so much changed the policy as what it's doing down is enforcing an old transportation policy. the changes have upset some parents more than 200 parents have actually appealed after finding out their kids were going to have to walk instead of taking the bus like they did in previous years. 1500 students will be walking this year. students living within a mile or mile and a half of their secondary school are supposed to walk. according to arlington transportation policy. many of those kids were going to nearby bus stops instead. this year, students who have been approved for bus travel will have vouchers. those without vouchers will be allowed on the bus but parents can expect to be contacted by school officers to find out why their child asked to board a bus. they are expecting additional students but have not purchased new buses because they're trying to direct more money into the actual classroom
