the news edge in virginia, a murder-suicide at a day care in prince william county. the victim's young daughter credited with moving several kids to safety as a man with a gun invaded their home. fox 5's paul wagner live in dale city with more on this case. paul what do you know. >> reporter: prince am county police are are call this evening a domestic dispute between richard nickels and taneitha white. the two are former neighbors. they had lived next to each oago when taneitha white left her husband and moved her day care husband over here to roundtree drive. around 7:00 this morning, prince william county police say richard nickels came looking for taneitha white. he had a gun and used it to kill white before turning the weapon on himself. at the first sign of danger police say ta northeasta white's 12-year-old daughter gathered all of of the children in the day care and took them into a bathroom where she dialed 911. up until a year ago neighbors say richard nickels and taneitha white were neighbors. that's when she left her husband and moved a few blocks away in

prince william county today, budget problems taking their toll. now the county has approved a $790 million spending plan that comes with some deep cuts. what is on the chopping block. >> for students and teachers in prince william county, next school year could mean new class sizes. >> that would be unfortunate. kids need individual attention from the teachers. >> of the school board approved the 2011 budget that's expected to increase if some class sizes, cut 200 jobs in the school system, and freeze salaries. >> it will be overcrowded, because already a lot of kids in the school need assistance. >> the financial strain could have been much worse. $79 million shortfall originally projected, the superintendents for spending plan called for 700 job cuts and include a fee for students playing high-school sports. thanks to a revised projections of county revenue and additional state spending, the deficit was reduced, helping ease the financial burden on the county. >> it is a drastic change, but i liked to see the numbers drop even more. >> if the sc
