on behalf of the board, thank you all to be here for the breaking ground on the ute and william k.center for being pyrri performing arts. when i joined the board many years ago, we knew the conservatory belonged with the many arts at the civic center, and we knew we must providing housing for our students. so we succeeded in moving to the civic center in 2006, and now, we're breaking ground for the new student residence hall. so today, i'm incredibly proud of how all of us have come together to make the future possible. and i want to express my deepest thanks to the supporters of this project whose inspiring leadership and generosity have set us up for a successful second century of leading music education through innovation through a history of excellence, achievement, culture and collaboration. now i have the pleasure and the honor to introduce our mayor, the mayor of san francisco, london breed.
