erupted in myanmar's rakhine state well joining us now from on the ground then cox's bazar is william lacy swing director general of the international organization for migration sir thank you so much for joining us here on al-jazeera the numbers are really staggering what i've just read out more than half a million since fighting erupted in rakhine state which really was end of august so we're looking at under two months so more than half a million people in under two months give us an idea of what you're seeing there in the kind of things that the people that are arriving to cox's bazar need. well you're quite right the sheer scope and speed of the sea of accusation. or expulsion if you will has been staggering for everyone. all of the systems that we have in place here are being overwhelmed. half million people are actually about five hundred fifty thousand added to the three hundred thousand who are already here for several years brings us very close to nine hundred thousand and it could easily go to a million if the current rate of departure continues at the level of about two to three
