last night i had a chance to sit down with chief william scott. he's a great guy. him about how his officers will respond to president trump's executive order on illegal immigration.>> there has been some very strong reaction to some of the executive orders. they impact us in many ways. san francisco is a sanctuary city. there is a lot of things that we need to let people know in terms of what our role is in all of this. we haven't enforced immigration laws. i don't know that everybody knows thatthat's the message that we need to understand. regardless of which way the president goes, the issues, our job is to enforce our city and our state and our nation's laws that does not include immigration, that is a federal responsibility. we want people to feel comfortable, that when they call san francisco police department we are not coming to question their immigration status. it really is a thing we want to continually get out to the public. that the president has a job to do. he has been voted in by the people to do that job. what's our role in all of this? that's what

right now, scott williams is in. he is tracking the storm. what are we looking at here, scott? >> thomas, karen, really watching the temperatures dropping. i mean, yesterday we had high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s, even couple of 70s, kind of dotting the map yesterday. so those temperatures are dropping pretty rapidly, especially north and west. but of course we have to factor in some of the warm surface temperatures of the roads, due to some of the heat that we saw yesterday. and also the track, also the timing of this system, and we really have to watch those critical temperatures dropping with that transition of rain to snow across the area. so, as we look at ultimate doppler, you can see where the snow is occurring far north and west, where we have the green, where we have the yellow, that's still just rainfall. philadelphia, the i-95 corridor northern parts of delaware pretty much all every south jersey just looking at the rainfall, as we continue to kind of zoom in, harrisburg, looking at snow, lancaster, now changing over from rain to snow, as we move toward par

let's get on over to meteorologist scott williams. hi, scott. >> 70 yesterday. upper 50s for today.tures will remain above average although we're talking temperatures in the 50s a little cooler. but as we look at ultimate doppler right now we're dry and quiet. off to the west, that's where we have some active weather moving out of texas into louisiana. this produced severe weather yesterday into early today. but now moving on off to the west we'll stay to our west. only 2-inches of snow for the month of february in philadelphia. 8-inches so far for the year. right now only 19% of the lower 48 covered with snow. most of it out west. and also as you head into northern parts of new england. especially maine right now. still with a pretty good snow pack. so for the remainder of february, below average temperatures out west. but for us, we will stay above average. the average for this time of year by the way is right around 45 degrees. temperatures in the seven day forecast for high temperatures will stay well above that over the next several days. upper 40s right now in atlantic city. 4
