in 1996, willie brown made history as san francisco's first african-american mayor .e still a huge presence in the city today. amberley recently sat down with brown to talk about his time in office, and the challenges he faced. >> we do have a lot to celebrate. >> reporter: willie lewis brown jr. knows how to command a stage. >> when somebody says i am black and i am proud, you are right. >> reporter: 15 years after serving as san francisco's 41st mayor, he is still in demand for speaking engagements. i asked him what he considers to be his greatest accomplishment? >> i have survived, and in the terrible world of politics, particularly for a person of color. >> reporter: an achievement that came with challenges peter grew up in mineola, a small east texas town. he was the son of a mate and a real word porter. he says he was kicked out of college for being outspoken. >> my mother was totally and covertly embarrassed. >> reporter: his mother sent him to live with his uncle in san francisco. >> i fell in love with the city, and in some cases some parts of the city fell i

willie mckay as he had done before, says that he arranged for that flight to be conducted.ly, emiliano sala and the pilot, david ibbotson who sadly died subsequently as the plane crashed in the english channel as they came back to cardiff city on the monday evening before it training was due to start. what mckay has told us, the first time he has done an interview, as he feels cardiff city could have done more. he was abandoned at the hotel more or less to do the travel himself. nobody in cardiff seemed to do anything and it was a bit embarrassing because if you buy a player at 17 million euros and then leave him in a hotel himself, trying to go on the computer and look for a flight. so his view on cardiff's rule on all of this but sometimes may ask questions about his role in all of this. mackay arranged the flight to a provider who usually went to. he flies privately regularly, a man called david henderson yet to comment. anderson told mackay he cannot fly the plane himself but knew somebody who could and he asked david ibbotson to make that site. he said —— david ibbotso
